Special items
Why some things cost extra.
Massachusetts bans a list of materials from landfill and incineration statewide. When one turns up in a load, it has to be separated and routed to a recycler — a handling cost the disposal facility passes to us. The fee is that cost, not a penalty.

When you pay
Rental up front. Weight after it's weighed.
The rental fee is due when the order is placed. That's what reserves the container and the delivery slot.
Overage and special-item fees are billed after the load has been dumped and weighed, because that's the first moment anyone knows what they are. The scale ticket comes with the invoice.
The price you see is the price you pay — Massachusetts law doesn't allow a fee for choosing to pay by card, and we don't add one.
